Ripley Main Street plans outdoor movie, back-to-school bash in August

Ripley Main Street announced two community events at The Cut-Off for Aug. 14 and Aug. 15. The organization said the events will include a free outdoor movie and a back-to-school celebration.

The group said Movie Night will be Friday, Aug. 14 at dusk and will feature Zootopia 2. Ripley Main Street asked attendees to bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets and said admission and popcorn are free. The organization said Rebel Services LLC is sponsoring the screening.

Ripley Main Street said the Back to School Bash will be Saturday, Aug. 15 and will include face painting, games, pop-up vendors, food trucks and a school supply giveaway to mark the start of the new school year.

The events will take place at The Cut-Off at 204 S. Commerce St., Ripley, Mississippi. Ripley Main Street encouraged residents to attend both evenings.
