Tupelo police say a man was arrested after attempting to cash a fraudulent check at a downtown bank and allegedly cashing two other forged checks at separate branches.

Terry W. Richey II, 39, of Tupelo was arrested May 13 and charged with aggravated domestic violence after officers investigated a reported April assault, Tupelo police said. He was ordered held on a $25,000 bond, court records show.

The Training Center said it will accept cadets for a Full-Time Law Enforcement Basic Class that runs Aug. 10 to Oct. 30. Entrance PT tests are scheduled June 9 and 23 and July 21 at 9 a.m., and applicants must bring photo ID and the physical portion of the application.
