The Mississippi Department of Transportation said it finished nearly one mile of a multiuse path along Classic Drive in Hattiesburg on May 11 and plans a second phase to extend it to U.S. 49.

Contractors for the Mississippi Department of Transportation will remove debris left by Winter Storm Fern across north Mississippi and parts of the Delta, the agency said. The work must be finished by Wednesday, Aug. 5.
