The Mississippi Department of Transportation will host a job fair Wednesday, Sept. 9, at its District 1 headquarters in Tupelo to fill technician and trades positions, the agency said.

City officials said crews will close the intersection of Pecan Avenue and Beacon Street in Philadelphia, Mississippi, from about 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, for sewer and storm drain repairs.
