Heat advisory for parts of Delta, north Mississippi; heat returns Wednesday, NWS Memphis says

The National Weather Service in Memphis said temperatures will be slightly lower today and a Heat Advisory is in effect only for portions of the Delta and north Mississippi.

The agency said the heat has shifted south for a day, producing the temporary relief.

The National Weather Service warned the heat will surge back north on Wednesday, with heat headlines likely across most of the Mid-South.
