NWS Memphis extends Heat Advisory across Mid-South; heat indices to top 105 degrees

The National Weather Service in Memphis extended a Heat Advisory across the Mid-South for Wednesday through Friday, saying heat indices of 105 degrees Fahrenheit or higher are expected areawide.

The agency said triple-digit high temperatures are not out of the question during the period.

The National Weather Service urged residents to practice heat safety over the next week.

Officials advised people to take precautions in the heat, the agency said.
