Marcus Terrell Allen, 42, of Houlka, was arrested Aug. 2, 2026, and charged with attempted aggravated domestic violence and attempted sexual battery, the Tupelo Police Department said. Officers located and took him into custody without incident, the department said.
The charges stem from a July 11, 2026, report in which a victim told police they were assaulted during an incident involving a person known to them at a residence in Tupelo, the department said.
Tupelo police detectives identified Allen during the course of the investigation and obtained warrants charging him with attempted aggravated domestic violence and attempted sexual battery, the department said.
Allen appeared Aug. 3, 2026, before Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Willie Allen, who ordered him held without bond, the department said. The charges will be presented to the Lee County grand jury, the department said.
