Ronnie L. Brown Jr., 33, of Amory, was arrested July 30 and charged with aggravated domestic violence and felony child abuse, the Tupelo Police Department said.
Police said officers contacted a victim June 27 at the North Mississippi Medical Center emergency room at 830 South Gloster Street. The victim told officers she and her child had been assaulted at 3574 North Gloster Street at the Longhorn Steakhouse by an individual with whom she said she was in a relationship, the department said.
After further investigation, police arrested Brown on July 30, the department said.
Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Weir ordered Brown held on a $70,000 bond, and the charges will be presented to the Lee County grand jury, the police department said.
