Police arrested Sherrodrick M. Taylor, 31, of Tunica, on charges of aggravated domestic violence following an incident at a gas station in Tupelo.
Officers responded to a disturbance at the Chevron on North Gloster Street on June 7. The victim told officers that they had been physically assaulted by their significant other, according to police reports.
Taylor was taken into custody at the scene and transported to the Lee County Jail. On June 8, investigators formally charged him with one count of aggravated domestic violence.
A Tupelo Municipal Court judge set Taylor’s bond at $5,000. The case will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury for further proceedings, officials said.
