Forecasters warned of a marginal risk for severe storms near the Tennessee River this afternoon and evening, saying damaging winds are the primary threat.
The risk was expected to be concentrated near the river during the afternoon and evening hours, forecasters said.
Forecasters said heat indices would exceed 105 degrees across the area.
