NWS Memphis warns heat index may reach 105 to 115 degrees across Mid-South

The National Weather Service in Memphis warned that another day of dangerous heat is expected, with heat index values forecast to reach 105 to 115 degrees Fahrenheit in most areas, the agency said.

Extreme heat warnings and heat advisories will be in effect for much of the Mid-South today between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. CDT, the service said.

The National Weather Service in Memphis posted the alert on its social media page, urging residents to take the warnings into account, the post said.
