NWS: Memphis on Track for First 90-Degree Day; Heat Index Near 100
The National Weather Service in Memphis said the Mid-South is on track to reach its first 90-degree day of the year this afternoon.
High humidity will push heat index values near 100 degrees across parts of the region, the agency said.
The National Weather Service urged residents to take frequent breaks in air conditioning and to drink plenty of water.
