Republican-appointed justices projected to win Georgia Supreme Court races

Decision Desk HQ projected Tuesday that Republican-appointed Justices Charlie Bethel and Sarah Warren defeated Democratic-backed challengers in their Georgia Supreme Court reelection bids, the election analyst said.

Justice Charlie Bethel defeated challenger Miracle Rankin, and Justice Sarah Warren defeated challenger Jen Jordan, Decision Desk HQ reported.

The results contrast with last year, when state election results showed Democrats scored two upsets on the Georgia Public Service Commission.

Decision Desk HQ’s projections indicate Bethel and Warren will remain on the state’s high court after the election.
