MDOT completes multiuse path in Hattiesburg

Mississippi Department of Transportation officials joined Charles Busby, MDOT’s Southern District Transportation Commissioner, on May 11 to mark the completion of nearly one mile of a multiuse path along Classic Drive in Hattiesburg, MDOT said.

The path runs from Pine Tree Drive to Golf Course Road, MDOT said.

MDOT said a second phase of the project will extend the path east to U.S. 49.

MDOT said the project increases pedestrian and cyclist safety and improves quality of life in the surrounding community.
