Mississippi DOT urges drivers to watch for motorcycles during May
The Mississippi Department of Transportation said May is Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month and urged motorists to share the road as warmer weather brings more riders to state roadways.
MDOT advised drivers to know their blind spots and to adjust mirrors before leaving.
It also told drivers to leave extra space around motorcycles, avoid following too closely, pay attention and drive defensively.
