Ripley Main Street wins state awards for revitalization efforts
Ripley, Mississippi — Ripley Main Street was honored with the Outstanding Placemaking Project Award for The Cut-Off, a project aimed at revitalizing downtown Ripley, according to a news release.
Melinda Marsalis also received the Paul Coggin Trailblazer Award, which recognizes a volunteer whose dedication and leadership have significantly contributed to downtown revitalization efforts, the release said.
The awards highlight the ongoing efforts of community members and organizations working to strengthen Mississippi’s towns. The Ripley Main Street program expressed gratitude for being part of the Mississippi Main Street family and praised the volunteers and leaders making a difference every day.
