Erion M. Bass, 22, of Tupelo, was arrested May 15, 2026, and charged with one count of felony shoplifting, the Tupelo Police Department said.
Officers were called May 11, 2026, to a business at 3575 Tom Watson Drive, Scruggs, after store personnel said a person tried to leave without paying for multiple items, the department said.
On May 17, 2026, Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Allen ordered Bass held on a $5,000 bond, the Tupelo Police Department said.
The department said the case will be presented to the Lee County grand jury.
