Wembanyama taunts Robinson after hit as Knicks fans boos in Game 4

Victor Wembanyama drew attention during Game 4 of the NBA Finals with a hard foul on Knicks forward Mitchell Robinson, who was playing with one healthy hand. Wembanyama delivered a forearm to Robinson’s face, earning a Flagrant 1 foul, and then appeared to taunt Robinson, telling him he was “in his head,” according to reports.

Robinson saw extended action early in the game after Karl-Anthony Towns picked up two first-quarter fouls, which led to a collision course with Wembanyama. The French star also drew physical play from other Knicks players, including Jose Alvarado, who grabbed Wembanyama’s leg during a foul attempt.

The hostile Madison Square Garden crowd showered Wembanyama with boos throughout the series. The tension escalated after Wembanyama pushed Jalen Brunson to the floor without drawing a foul in Game 3, a play that sparked outrage among fans and social media users. An NBA review concluded Wembanyama did not commit a flagrant foul on that play.

Despite the review, the animosity persisted. Wembanyama’s antics and the crowd’s reaction highlight the intense rivalry between the teams in this postseason. Wembanyama and Robinson’s exchanges reflect the physical and emotional stakes of the series, with fans and players closely watching every move.
