Forecasters say a marginal risk for severe storms will affect portions of the Mid-South on Thursday, with damaging winds the primary threat and only localized rainfall expected.

The Mississippi Department of Transportation is accepting applications for an entry-level maintenance technician position in Panola County. Applicants must apply by Tuesday, Sept. 15, the agency said.
