Tupelo man charged with aggravated domestic violence

Bartolo Perez-Gomez, 28, of Tupelo, was arrested June 16, 2026, and charged with one count of aggravated domestic violence, the Tupelo Police Department said.

Officers were dispatched June 15, 2026, to 611 West Main Street at the Courtyard Apartments on a disturbance call, the department said. They contacted a suspect and a victim who had visible injuries. The victim told officers they had been physically assaulted by their significant other, the department said.

Paramedics responded to the scene to assess the victim, and the suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Lee County Jail, the department said.

After further investigation, Perez-Gomez was arrested and charged on June 16, 2026, and Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Weir ordered him held without bond, the department said. The Tupelo Police Department said the charges will be presented to the Lee County grand jury.
