May is National Skin Cancer Awareness Month, and the National Weather Service says spring sunshine can be as intense as late July. The agency directs people to sun-safety tips on its website.

Northeast Mississippi Community College’s Adult Education program said Naomi Sumrall, Summer Abbott and Kylan Williams earned high school equivalency diplomas in a social media post.

Sebastian Campbell earned a High School Equivalency Diploma, NEMCC Adult Education at Corinth announced. The program said it is proud and looks forward to his continued progress.

The Mississippi Department of Public Safety said on its social media page it gathered for a Fallen Officer Memorial Ceremony, calling it “a solemn time of remembrance, honor, and gratitude” for officers “who gave their all in service to others.”
