Columbus Air Force Base opens gates for Freedom Fest to mark America’s 250th
Thousands attended Freedom Fest at Columbus Air Force Base on the Fourth of July as the base opened to the public for the nation’s 250th birthday, WCBI reported.

MDPS said it will hold its 2026 Fallen Officer Memorial at 10 a.m. tomorrow to honor officers who died in the line of duty. The department said the ceremony will be streamed live on its MDPS Facebook page for those who cannot attend in person.
