Thousands attended Freedom Fest at Columbus Air Force Base on the Fourth of July as the base opened to the public for the nation’s 250th birthday, WCBI reported.

The U.S. Army said the remains of a soldier who went missing during military drills in Morocco were recovered in the Atlantic Ocean. Military teams are searching for a second missing soldier, the Army said.
